The OzInDi Entertainment Network, created by OzInDi Radio Australia founders Barry Koch and Joel Devereux, expands the company’s independent radio service into a national video streaming platform for filmmakers, musicians and creatives.

The network will offer original series, documentaries, short films, music videos, interviews, showcases and OzInDi’s existing 24-hour independent radio service in a single destination.

Operating as a free platform for artists, the network aims to provide opportunities for Australian creatives to have their work discovered without paying for exposure.

The launch also marked the debut of ‘OzInDi Presents: No Soundcheck’, the network’s first original documentary series.

Featuring Cairns musician Amber McIntosh, the series explores the creative pressure, financial uncertainty, persistence and personal sacrifice involved in building a professional music career.

Produced in Far North Queensland, it also features local creative Barry “Baz” Koch and focuses on telling Australian stories outside traditional metropolitan media centres.

Founded in Cairns by Mr Koch and Mr Devereux, who have been friends in Far North Queensland since the mid-1990s, OzInDi has grown from an independent online radio platform into a national entertainment network. The founders say the expansion will showcase the region while supporting creative talent from across Australia. The network is already available on Apple TV, while OzInDi Radio is available on iOS. Android phone and Google TV apps.
