Follow the Mossman Show trail and win a prize
MOSSMAN Show organisers, together with the Douglas Shire Council, have added a new feature to the event this year, with visitors invited to embark on a fun-filled adventure, while discovering some of the fantastic services that help make the Shire a great place to live.

The Mossman Show Trail is an interactive activity designed to encourage participants to explore the showgrounds, answer questions and learn about important community programs along the way.
Trail participants will visit six engaging locations throughout the showgrounds, including the chicken shed, electric ants stall, Douglas Libraries tent, disaster management sign, Containers for Change stall and the resource recovery tent.
At each stop, visitors will answer a simple question before continuing along the trail. Once completed, participants can head to the resource recovery tent to spin the prize wheel and collect a prize.
Douglas Shire Mayor Lisa Scomazzon said the show provided the perfect opportunity to connect with the community in a fun and engaging way, with the new show trail providing youngsters with an extra fun option alongside the usual fair ground activities.
“The Mossman Show is one of our region’s most loved community events, and this year’s show trail is a fantastic way for families to explore the grounds while learning more about valuable services available in our community” she said.
“We wanted to create an activity that encourages the community to get involved, ask questions and discover something new at every stop.”
Participation in the show trail is free, with trail guides available at the council administration offices in Port Douglas, Mossman and also at the Mossman Show ticket offices.
