FNQ man takes on key role
TOURISM Tropical North Queensland chairman John O’Sullivan has been appointed chairman of the state’s leading leisure marketing organisation – Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ).

The Experience Co. CEO brings more than 30 years of experience across media, travel, tourism, sport and entertainment.
Also joining the board are Cairns Adventure Group owner and Cairns Chamber of Commerce president Roderic Rees, Brisbane Deputy Mayor Krista Adams, Indigenous tourism operator Jacob Cassidy and Tourism Noosa CEO Damien Massingham.
Kylie Blucher, Gert-Jan De Graaff, Robin Way, Justin McGowan and Patricia O’Callaghan continue their service on the board.
TEQ is the state’s lead tourism and major events agency, responsible for marketing Queensland to the world and supporting the growth of the visitor economy.
Tourism Minister Andrew Powell said the board delivered refreshed regional representation and would provide strong leadership as Queensland delivered its long-term tourism vision.
