Explosive fights on the cards
CAIRNS is set to host one of the most electrifying nights in North Queensland combat sports this Saturday 1 November, as Explosive Fight Promotions presents the Elite Fight Series at the Fred Moule Exhibition Centre.
The headline acts are historic: two professional WBC Australian title fights, marking the first time North Queensland has hosted Australian championship bouts. The winners will instantly rank among the top 20 fighters globally, opening doors to world titles and other significant opportunities.
“North Queensland has always had tough fighters, but opportunities for them to shine on big stages have been limited,” said Explosive Fight promoter Chris Bowtell.
“This event gives our local talent the platform they deserve, while bringing the best opponents from across Australia to Cairns.”
The event features a stacked card of elite-level professionals and hungry amateurs, ensuring nonstop action from the undercard to the main event. Fans can expect high-octane muay thai battles, bone-rattling strikes and unforgettable fight moments.
Doors open at 3pm, with the undercard starting at 4pm and the main card at 6.30pm. Fully licensed bars and food will be available, with all bar profits donated to @kickoncharity. For those unable to attend in person, the fights will be live-streamed across Australia via @livecombatsports.
“It’s a huge night for the growth of combat sports in Cairns. Our fighters get exposure across Australia and the world and spectators experience an adrenaline-packed evening they won’t forget,” Mr Bowtell said.
After selling out their last event, which drew over 1400 spectators, organisers expect this one to be even bigger and louder.
