Midway through the 2021 NRL season and just after screening the State of Origin in Brisbane SCA will lose their rights to some of the largest rating programs on Australian television.

In news today, Southern Cross Austereo and Network 10 have announced that they expect to enter an affiliation agreement on 1st July 2021. The agreement will see Network 10 supply its programmes for broadcast by Southern Cross Austereo in regional Queensland, southern New South Wales and regional Victoria.

The new deal follows the news that Nine Entertainment Co. has signed an affiliation agreement with WIN Network, which will end its agreement with current affiliate partner, Southern Cross Austereo.

In a program carve up expected to impact greatly upon SCA will as of July 1 no longer have access to 60 Minutes, NRL, Married at First Sight, The Block, Australian Ninja Warrior, ACA and the Today Show.

In return SCA will be the channel where viewers can find I'm a Celebrity, Masked Singer and The Project.

This week, the Ten Network programs have struggled to find an audience nationally, whilst ABC, Seven and Nine continue to drag the viewers.

Figures available from OzTAM the tevelision ratings company reveal that on Tuesday night NINE Network nationally had approximately double the audience of Ten.*
