New Italian family-inspired restaurant opens in Cairns
A space where family and food comes together is already creating memories and satisfying the tastebuds of locals, since opening just a few short weeks ago.
Nonna Leotta’s House in the Cairns CBD opened less than a month ago and is delighting families with their big Italian sized servings at affordable prices.
Inspired by his childhood memories, with ‘Nonna Leotta’s House’, owners Shane and Jasmine Srhoj have brought their dream to life by opening a family-friendly venue with delicious and homemade Italian style food, that is big on serves and great value for money.
“Growing up, life was always about food and creating memories with family,” said Mr Srhoj.
“Nonna Leotta’s love for food and family created an environment where the family would regularly come together to share a meal and this love for food has been passed down from generation to generation.”
The local couple both grew up in large families who came together around food, and with baby number seven on the way it was time to return home after 10 years working around Australia to create their own family legacy.
“It’s so exciting to see our dream become a reality.
We can cater for small to large gatherings where the kids, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and family and friends can all come together for a relaxing dinner or lunch with great Italian food,” Mr Srhoj said.
“Your Family is our Family”, is the motto behind the family owned business and the tasty menu is filled with food that everyone will love.
“The menu is all about food that we love to share and food that gets the kids and family excited – It’s just like growing up in Nonna’s Leotta’s House.”
The menu includes a large pizza and pasta selection with all the traditional favourites, lasagne and other meat dishes including crumbed steak, pork ribs and Italian sausages, salads and desserts, plus lots more.
The new restaurant is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner from 11am to 9pm.
