Killer Queen Headlining the Cairns Food and Wine Festival

The Cairns Food and Wine Festival is set to be the ‘killer’ event on the social calendar next month with the announcement their headline act for the Saturday night Festival.

Australian and International act, Killer Queen is set to rock Munro Martin Parklands, along with a host of other local and national artists.

Lead singer John Blunt, original member, and Freddie Mercury Impersonator for over 15 years, has toured and appeared in the ITV Channel 5 UK Docu/Drama “The Freddie Mercury Story – Who Wants to Live Forever” a detailed look into the personal life and death (45 years old in 1991) of Queen’s Front man, screening in the UK, Europe and North America in 2016.

John’s resemblance to Freddie Mercury is uncanny, appearing Live to 7 million viewers on the French television show- “Qui Sera Le Meilleur Sosie? “- “Who Will Be The Best Impersonator”.

Killer Queen have taken their show to such places as the UK, Norway, Singapore, India and shared the bill with the likes of Jeff Beck, Foreigner, Journey, Twisted Sister, Thin Lizzy and Kelly Rowland. In May 2019 Killer Queen performed in Russia for the first time.

Joining Killer Queen on the Munro Martin Parklands stage will be a host of acts including: Tony George and his Nearly Diamond Tribute Show, Glenn Symons and his Tribute to Tom Petty along with Cairns locals, Hot Ice.

The Cairns Food & Wine Festival is Cairns’ premier food and wine event for 2021 and will include an array of local food vendors hand selected from some of Cairns leading restaurants and caterers and multiple bars serving wines from around Australia and craft beers.

The festival can be experienced in three ways including taking in all the food vendors, bars and entertainment with general admission with unallocated seat and picnic areas, premium admission which includes general admission plus a reserved seat for the duration of the event on the tiered amphitheatre of MMP and access to the premium area bar, or finally enjoy a five course dinner by Ochre Restaurant paired with Australian Wines by Grant Burge with general admission prior to the dinner service and access to the VIP area to see the night out.
