Australia’s top chefs get fired up for the Fat Mango BBQ at Taste Port Douglas

TOP CELEBRITY CHEFS and masters of fire will bring their flame game to Taste Port Douglas this August with Fat Mango BBQ, presenting a fiery feast on day two of the Sheraton Festival Village’s ‘Gourmet Lawn’.

Located only metres from Port Douglas’ iconic Four Mile Beach, the Sheraton Festival Village will be held on August 13 and 14. 

Day one celebrates a feast of pop-up food stalls with a host of guest chefs and local favourite eateries at the helm, while day two switches up to the wood-fired Fat Mango BBQ. 

The chefs will demonstrate their skill in mastering the flame with roving conversations on BBQ styles and philosophies with Colin Fassnidge and legendary butcher Anthony Puharich. 

The chef lineup for Fat Mango BBQ includes: 

• Jake Nicolson - Blackbird, Donna Chang - Brisbane 

• Ben Williamson - Agnes, Bianca - Brisbane 

• Jerry Mai - Pho Nom - Melbourne 

• Bente Grysbaek - Off the Grid Catering, Pope Joan - Melbourne 

• Aaron Ward - Shell House - Sydney 

• George Calombaris - TV Presenter & Chef 

• Massimo Mele - Peppina - Tasmania 

The action-packed event will be a feast for the senses. Expect billowing smoke and flames, fire-roasted succulent meat on the bone smoked tropical fruit, flamed seasonal produce and Australia’s best seafood. 

The Fat Mango BBQ at the Sheraton Festival Village is coming to Taste Port Douglas on Sunday, August 14 from noon until 5pm. Tickets cost $33 per person for adults and $13 for children and include entry to the Sheraton Festival Village.
