Suzanne Rath, founder of Wellness Embodied, will present Beyond the Peak at The Conservatory Bar on Thursday 6 August, with proceeds supporting the Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation.

The keynote follows Ms Rath's four-day solo run from Sydney to Newcastle earlier this year, an experience she says reinforced principles she has developed through endurance sport, physiotherapy and business leadership.

"The organisations I work with are not short on talent or ambition," Ms Rath said.

"What they are short on is clarity. People are overwhelmed not because they're lacking in competence, but because they haven't got a clear enough picture of what actually matters. When that's missing, everything feels urgent and nothing important gets done."

Ms Rath said the presentation draws on her ENDURES framework, which focuses on setting a clear vision, intentional recovery, refocusing after setbacks and building adaptability in times of rapid change.

Her background includes ultra-marathons, cycling across South America and completing a 270km trail run from Sydney to Newcastle at Easter.

"Trail running teaches you things about pressure that you can't get from a workshop," she said.

"When you're twenty hours in and you hit a wall, you find out what your vision is actually made of. Either it's clear enough and meaningful enough to keep you moving, or it isn't. The same is true in business. But it doesn’t actually matter what your goals are- whether it’s to scale a business, spend more time with family or have the best garden in the street- all that matters is it’s meaningful to you."

The event is aimed at business owners, professionals and leaders seeking practical strategies for sustainable high performance. Organisers say attendees will leave with a framework they can apply immediately rather than motivational ideas alone.

Doors open at 6pm on Thursday 6 August at The Conservatory Bar, 1/21 Lake St, Cairns City, with the keynote beginning at 6.30pm. Tickets include a welcome drink, cheese and nibbles, along with entry into a fundraising raffle, with proceeds benefiting the Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation.
