The 50-minute live performance, which featured Pevan the tiger and his energetic sidekick Sarah, blended music, laughter and learning in an interactive show designed to engage early primary and preschool students.

Created by teachers, Pevan and Sarah aims to support educators by combining curriculum-aligned literacy and numeracy concepts with social-emotional skills such as teamwork, confidence and resilience.

Their live performances give children the opportunity to sing, dance and connect in ways that build joy around learning, while offering teachers and families a positive shared experience.

“We started Pevan and Sarah when we were teaching because we understood the impact that music can have on a child’s education,” said Sarah Kechayas.

“We know how stretched teachers are and our goal has always been to support them, whether that’s through our online videos, songs and resources or by bringing kids together for a live, unforgettable learning experience,” she said.

This year’s tour spanned 27 locations across Australia, with a strong focus on regional towns.

For many communities, Pevan and Sarah’s visit was one of the few opportunities for young children to experience a high-quality, curriculum-linked live performance close to home.

Pevan and Sarah have become known as “edu-tainers” who combine high-energy performances with meaningful learning.

Their music and video platform, Cub Club, is enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of children and educators nationwide and has earned national recognition, multiple awards and millions of views online.

The pair said they looked forward to returning to Cairns next year for another round of educational fun and music.
