Edmonton man wins $1.3m in Keno
AN Edmonton man has won $1.2 million in Keno. He has confessed he wasn’t watching the draw and didn’t give himself a ‘hope in hell’ of winning before he discovered he’d bagged more than $1.2 million in a Keno draw brought at Fuller Sports Club on Thursday last week.

The Queenslander scored the Keno Classic 10 Spot jackpot in draw 170, and took home a total prize of $1,263,863.80.
“Mate, I’ve been playing these numbers for five years and I just believed I had to stick with them,” he said when a Keno official called him to confirm the win.
“It really was a run-of-the-mill Thursday for me. I’d just headed down to catch up with a mate and put on a couple of games,” he said. ““We weren’t even watching the Keno draw. Then we noticed a bit of a commotion, and someone told us there’d be a big win of 10 numbers.
“I thought, ‘Oh, I’ve got 10 numbers. So, I waited until it had all calmed down and checked my ticket.
“I think I nearly passed out.
“I can’t tell you what the future holds but I know I want to go on an overseas holiday and then set myself up as much as I can.
“It’s amazing. Thanks so much.”
The Fuller Sports Club said the club was over the moon for their winning customer and wished them all the best for the future.
In 2023, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 67.31 million wins collectively worth more than $1 billion.
During this time, Keno crowned 21 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $51.5 m. Seven of these major winners were Queenslanders, including a Kallangur man who won $8.45m after scoring the Keno Classic and Keno Mega Millions 10 Spot jackpots in the one draw.
