Eclectic program to liven up Tanks
INTERNATIONAL and Australian acts are set to hit the Tank 5 stage in 2026, with Tanks Arts Centre unveiling a packed live music and comedy program running from January through October.

The 2026 program kicks off on 31 January with a one-off jazz-fusion show featuring Harry James Angus, former trumpeter and vocalist of The Cat Empire, performing with a group of current and past Far North Queensland residents.
The line-up includes Jamahl Yami, Waanyi/Gangaliida rapper and 2024 triple j Unearthed NIMA competition winner, neo-soul three-piece IZY, previously known as The Montgomery Brothers, and Latin-fusion duo Los Caracoles.
February delivers a mix of indie rock, dance music and comedy, with The Terrys performing on 14 February and UK dance artist Example bringing his EDM and hip-hop sound to Cairns on 21 February.
Comedian Dave Hughes brings his show Cooked to Tank 5 on 20 February, followed by The Grogans on 28 February.
March continues the momentum with US Americana artist Willie Watson on 12 March, followed by UK dub producer Mad Professor on 13 March as part of his Dub Down Under tour. Australian guitarist Kevin Borich performs on 14 March with Jon Carson on drums and Chris Gilbert on bass, following the release of his album Duets, which reached number one on the ARIA Rock, Blues and Jazz Charts.
April features a return from past Tank 5 sell-outs Regurgitator on 17 April, followed by Melbourne indie-folk duo Pierce Brothers on 18 April as part of their Moonrise album tour. US singer-songwriter Steve Poltz performs on 2 April, while South African comedian Schalk Bezuidenhout brings his show Hey Hey Divorcé to Cairns on 27 April.
More shows will be announced throughout the year.
