Crocs in charge in all grades
THE Port Douglas Crocs have further cemented themselves as one of the powerhouse clubs of the competition, with another strong round of results reinforcing their position as genuine premiership contenders across multiple grades.

Round 12 saw the Crocs’ development side deliver a commanding performance against North Cairns, running away with a remarkable 101-20 victory.
The young Crocs were in complete control from the opening bounce, showcasing their depth, skill and teamwork in one of their most dominant displays of the season.
Jordan Latham led the charge in front of goal with an outstanding seven-goal haul, while Oscar Dodge added three majors in a performance that highlighted the side’s attacking firepower.
The development squad enjoyed a well-earned bye in round 13 and remains firmly entrenched at the top of the ladder heading into the business end of the season.
The Crocs’ women’s team faced a tougher challenge against a strong North Cairns outfit, falling 67-13.
Despite the result, there were positive signs for Port Douglas, with Caity Walsh and Daisy Quitter each finding the scoreboard.
The women have shown consistency throughout the season and remain comfortably placed in fourth position, keeping them firmly on track for a final’s appearance.
Meanwhile, the senior men’s side produced one of the most emphatic performances seen this year, dismantling North Cairns 167-28 in a breathtaking display of attacking football.
The Crocs moved the ball with precision and capitalised on nearly every opportunity inside their forward 50.
Shay Linke was the star of the show, booting an incredible 10 goals to spearhead the attack.
He received strong support from Brodie Francis, who added four goals, while Callum Reid chipped in with three as the Crocs piled on score after score.
The victory further strengthened Port Douglas’ hold on top spot, with both the senior and development men’s teams sitting first on their respective ladders.
With only a handful of rounds remaining before finals, the Crocs are building momentum at exactly the right time.
Across all three grades, the club is enjoying one of its strongest seasons in recent memory.
With both men’s teams leading the competition and the women’s side comfortably inside the top four, Port Douglas appears finals-bound and well placed to challenge for multiple premierships in 2026.
