The concept for the show was created by drummer and vocalist Peter Timms, who launched the band in 2006. Nearly two decades later, the production has grown into a powerhouse performance featuring six multi-talented musicians who capture the spirit and sound of the 1970s.

“The Eagles and CCR bridged generations,” Mr Timms said.

“They fused rock, country, bluegrass and swamp rock, creating an iconic sound that has defined American music culture,” he said.

“Both bands are hugely popular here in Australia, and their fan base spans from teenagers right through to people in their nineties.”

The first half of the show is dedicated to The Eagles’ timeless hits, from ‘Take It Easy’ and ‘Lyin’ Eyes’ through to the anthem ‘Hotel California’. The second half shifts gears into CCR territory, firing up the crowd with ‘Proud Mary’, ‘Bad Moon Rising’ and ‘Born on the Bayou’.

According to Mr Timms, the magic lies in authenticity.

“Everything we do is 100% live, no backing tracks, no trickery. Marty Holt, who toured with the Little River Band, arranges all our harmonies. It’s just lots of rehearsal to capture that iconic sound properly.”

Mr Timms takes the stage on drums, performing the Don Henley material, while fellow bandmates bring their own star power. UK musician Grant Carruthers channels Glenn Frey, and Scott “Buddy” Cameron, best known for his lead role in ‘Buddy the Musical’ on London’s West End and Broadway, delivers the raw vocals that define CCR.

Audiences, Mr Timms said, were transported back to pivotal moments in their lives.

“These songs are part of the soundtrack of people’s lives, their first kiss, their wedding, even their family milestones. Hearing them live brings back those memories, and we’re proud to be that musical vehicle,” he said.

“Part one is The Eagles, part two is Creedence, and by the end, you’ve lived through the evolution of both bands.

You’ll laugh, you’ll sing and you’ll relive the music that defined a generation.”
