Environment Centre turns 40
The Cairns and Far North Environment Centre (CAFNEC) is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a dinner on Saturday May 22, from 6:30-10:30pm at the Cairns Colonial Club.
CAFNEC is the peak regional non-government environmental organisation for Far North Queensland and has advocated for the protection of our region’s unique nature since 1981.
“Our mission is to bring together the broad-based community and other organisations to take action to promote a vibrant FNQ natural environment,” said CAFNEC President Denis Walls.
“Please come and join us in our 40th celebrations. It promises to be a wonderful, fun-filled evening acknowledging CAFNEC’s many achievements and looking forward to our future.
“Our organisation is made up of everyday people who dedicate time and passion to a connected community and vibrant natural environment.
“Come and meet new friends and be part of the CAFNEC family.”
