Bin collections and transfer stations this weekend
Cairns Regional Council is reminding residents that bin collection services will operate as usual this four-day long weekend, including Good Friday and Easter Monday.
Residents are reminded to ensure their bin is collected, it needs to be on the kerbside, handle toward the house, before 6am on the day of collection.
You can get bin collection day reminders through the My Cairns app, which is free to download.
Council’s transfer stations will also be operating as usual this weekend, visit the website for times.
Other Council services
Customer Service Centres: Closed Good Friday to Easter Monday. For urgent matters, such as burst water mains or dog attacks, ring 1300 69 22 47.
Libraries: Closed Good Friday to Easter Monday; items can be returned any day using the library return chutes.
