Clump Point Burn

Council is conducting a small planned burn at Clump Point, Mission Beach in conjunction with Girringun Rangers, as part of the annual hazard reduction/ conservation management program for parks and forests.

These works will begin Wednesday 29 July 2020. It is anticipated individual sites will be treated within five days, weather and site conditions permitting.  

Access to the boat ramp will remain open to accommodate the general public however Clump Point lookout will be closed. CCRC will have smoke hazard signs in place until operations have ceased.

Council is working in partnership with relevant community groups, Traditional Owners, QPWS, DNRME and Rural Fire Service, with permits from QFES to complete these important works.

Council is committed to minimising the impact of the program on the community as much as possible and would like to thank the local community for their patience and understanding during these works.
