Church fair for Dad’s day
ST Margaret’s Church is gearing up for their annual spring fair next month on Saturday 5 September 2026 at their grounds in Aumuller St, Westcourt.
An organiser, Anne Warnock, said there would be the usual and much-anticipated cake stall and plant sale, as well as Devonshire teas and a sausage sizzle.
She said not-for-profit organisations were invited to take part.

“The thrift shop will be open and the hall will have heaps of items for sale at bargain prices.
“Locals have been booking spaces for car boot sales. At this stage still a few spaces available.
“There will be a raffle with fantastic prizes, mostly donated by local businesses.
“The raffle will be drawn before the end of the event – you don’t need to be there to win as winners will be notified by phone.
“This year all profits from the raffle will be donated to Rosie’s Friends of the Street.
“The fair will run from 8am to noon. The fair is always popular with the local community, many using it as a social event, as well as an opportunity to stock up and replenish their cupboards and wardrobes.”
