Catholic college celebrates 40-year milestone
ST Mary’s College has celebrated an incredible 40 years, bringing together the college and the community for a special family fiesta.

Principal Kerry Manders said it was “a wonderful afternoon filled with rides, food vans, entertainment and plenty of activities organised and run by our talented students and dedicated staff”.
“It was fantastic to see current families, staff, students and college alumni and the community come together to celebrate this important milestone,” she said.
“We were also thrilled to welcome back St Mary’s College past student Rhys Tolhurst, who provided the entertainment for the afternoon.
“Since his days at St Mary’s, Rhys has gone on to forge a successful career in music, making it particularly special to have him return to where part of his story began and perform as we celebrated 40 years of the college.
“For four decades, St Mary’s has been a place where faith, hope and love flourish, where learning, belonging and community are key components of a St Mary’s education.
“A place where thousands of students and families have formed their part in our story.
“What made this celebration so special was seeing our entire community come together, from founding families and former students to current staff, students and alumni.
“St Mary’s has always been a place where a genuine sense of belonging, faith and friendship flourish and our 40th anniversary family fiesta reflected this.
“We thank everyone who joined us in celebrating this milestone and helping us honour the rich history and enduring legacy of our college.
“Thank you to everyone who joined us on Sunday and to the students, staff and volunteers who helped make our family fiesta such a memorable celebration.
“Here’s to 40 years of St Mary’s College and to the many chapters still to come.”
