The performances will take place on 15 and 16 May at BAR36, with both shows starting at 9pm. Entry is free.

The shows mark a key entertainment highlight in the casino’s 30-year celebrations.

Promoted as part of the venue’s anniversary celebrations, the show will feature performers portraying Agnetha, Frida, Benny and Björn, delivering a live production of ABBA’s well-known catalogue.

“The music lives on with SOS The Australian ABBA Tribute Show. Ring, ring all your chiquitittas and we’ll see you there,” the organisers said.

The show spans ABBA’s career, from their Eurovision debut with ‘Waterloo’ through to their enduring global popularity today.

Audiences can expect performances of tracks including ‘Gimmie Gimmie’, ‘Dancing Queen’ and ‘The Winner Takes It All’, presented as part of a full production featuring costumes, choreography and a live band.

Organisers said the performance aims to recreate the original ABBA experience.

“This full production show, costumed, choreographed with a high-energy band, might make you believe you’re seeing the real thing,” the promotional material states.

The two-night event is being held at BAR36 inside The Reef Hotel Casino and forms part of a broader program marking the venue’s 30-year milestone.

“Live and free @BAR36 for two nights only – SOS The Australian ABBA Tribute Show,” organisers said.

The event is expected to attract fans of the Swedish pop group as well as visitors looking to take part in the anniversary celebrations.
