Calling all league players of Italian heritage
QUEENSLAND’S Italy invitation rugby league team will play in Tully next month.

A call has been issued for rugby league players of Italian heritage to register for selection in future scheduled games.
Queensland Italy Rugby League co-ordinator Pietro Narducci told Cairns Local News that “any junior or senior, male or female rugby league players in Queensland can qualify, particularly if their family ranging back to one of their great grandparents was born in Italy”.
Anyone interested in taking part should contact Mr Narducci on 0409 554 844 or email qlditalyrl@gmail.com.
A number of Tableland rugby league players, who have direct links via their Italian heritage, will represent Queensland Italy in a game set down as the main attraction at Tully Showgrounds from 6pm on Saturday 11 October.
A number of previous matches including teams from the Far North Rugby League womens’ rugby league competition also are scheduled to be on the program.
