The show will run from Saturday, August 6 to Sunday, August 14 with Exhibition station making it easy for patrons to catch public transport to and from the event.

Transport and Main Roads Minister Mark Bailey said the exhibition will see Queenslanders travelling to the Brisbane showgrounds and that trains were the easiest and cheapest way of getting to and from the RNA Showgrounds.

“From 9am to 10:30pm daily, a frequent service will run on the Ekka Loop at regular intervals from Roma Street station, Central station, Fortitude Valley station and Exhibition station,” Mr Bailey said.

“Bus users can still travel to Herston Busway Station and walk across the underground walkways to the event.”

Mr Bailey encouraged show-goers to practice good hygiene and follow the current health directions when using public transport.

“Face masks are mandatory on public transport, and should be worn when travelling to and from the show, including when waiting at stops and stations,” he said.

“It will be a monumental Ekka celebration this year after a two-year hiatus and now we’ve locked in easy, convenient transportation to and from the event, but we want people to be safe getting to and from the show so please wear a mask.”

Head online to the Translink website, Facebook page or phone 13 12 30 at any time for more information on travel to and from the Ekka.
