Breast cancer bra service
A UNIQUE and deeply personal service at the COUCH Cancer Hub NQ is changing lives, one fitting at a time.
Jo Hohnberg, the manager at All Woman lingerie store at Atherton, visits the hub in Cairns to provide professional fittings for breast prosthetics and post-mastectomy bras.
With more than three years of experience and a background under All Woman owner Noelene Mays, Ms Hohnberg brings a compassionate and highly specialised approach to helping women post-breast cancer surgery.
“Women often arrive hunched and self-conscious,” she said.
“After their fitting, they stand tall again. One client told me: ‘I can’t believe it – I look the same’.”
The prosthetics, made by German manufacturer Amoena, are designed to restore balance, reduce postural strain and offer psychological comfort.
Fittings are strictly by appointment and guided by information collected beforehand to ensure the right options are available on the day.
