PERSONNAL trainer Lorelle Haag has claimed the Asia Pacific Figure Pro Overall Championship in Bali, capping off a year of national and international success.

Ms Haag, who competed in three bodybuilding competitions this year, reclaimed her Masters Figure Champion title at the ICN Queensland titles in September.

She also placed second in both the open division and the over-40s category.

On 13 October, Ms Haag competed at the NBA (Natural Bodybuilding Australia) National Pro Titles in Sydney, marking her first professional competition.

She finished fourth in the masters pro division, competing against Australia’s top professional athletes.

Just two weeks later, Ms Haag travelled to Bali for the NBA Asia Pacific Pro Show – her first international competition.

She took out first place in the masters figure pro division, first place in the figure pro open division and was crowned Asia Pacific Figure Pro overall champion.

“This was my first overseas competition and it was such an amazing experience,” Ms Haag said.

“Meeting athletes from around seven different countries, sharing the stage with them and supporting each other was truly inspiring.”

Describing her Bali performance as the best she has ever looked, Ms Haag said: “My body came in right on point on the day. The feedback and compliments I received from judges, staff, and other competitors were overwhelming”.

“To be almost 60 and in the best shape of my life is an incredible feeling.”

Ms Haag’s husband Peter Dodd, a former bodybuilding competitor who achieved fourth in the World Titles in France, was her main support throughout her eight-month training and diet preparation.

Together, they planned her gym training and nutrition with precision.

Looking ahead, Ms Haag plans to continue building muscle and conditioning, with the possibility of competing internationally again, potentially in the UK.

“It just proves that you can still accomplish any dream if you have determination and are committed to it,” she said.
