Reef Unlimited is the only operator offering guests this exclusive tour that includes both islands in one day.

Guests will cruise to Fitzroy Island onboard the company’s new Aquarius II catamaran, before continuing to Green Island, enjoying over six hours of island time with snorkelling, self-guided walks and optional guided adventures.

The package includes a glass-bottom boat tour at Fitzroy Island, while those keen to get closer to the Reef can take advantage of complimentary snorkel equipment, available for use all day across both islands. At Green Island, there’s also the option to join a semi-submersible tour before returning to Cairns aboard the Big Cat.

Reef Unlimited general manager Jason Moore said bringing the Fitzroy and Green islands’ adventure to life was “about showcasing the very best of the Great Barrier Reef in one seamless, unforgettable day”.

“We know today’s travellers want both flexibility and depth to their experiences, so we’ve designed this new offering to deliver adventure, relaxation and the opportunity to connect with the Reef’s unique natural wonders – all in a single journey,” he said.

“We’re proud to help more visitors discover why the Great Barrier Reef is one of Australia’s greatest treasures and to continue supporting sustainable tourism in the region.”

The tour departs at 8.30am from Cairns whisking guests just 45 minutes across the clear north Queensland waters to Fitzroy Island. At 11.45am, participants transfer to Green Island where they can unwind and enjoy the only sand cay on the Great Barrier Reef with a rainforest. The return journey to Cairns on Big Cat commences at 3.45pm arriving back in Cairns about 5pm.
