A matter of life and death
THE Good Life, Good Death expo comes to Cairns this weekend.

Palliative Care Queensland is inviting the community for the free event on Sunday, August 31.
A spokesman said the expo would provide a welcoming space for locals to explore and better understand topics around death, grief and loss.
“(These involve) conversations that may be difficult to have and often put off until it’s too late,” he said.
“Attendees will have a chance to connect with a wide range of local and state organisations showcasing services, products, resources that support people and their families at all stages of the end-of-life journey.
“From aged care services, funeral services, to holistic practitioners, doulas and community groups, the expo will bring everything under one roof.
“It will also feature a mini forum and knowledge sharing program with palliative care experts and compassionate community health connectors providing tangible tools, advice for individuals and families.”
The expo will be on Sunday, August 31, from 10am-3pm at the Cairns Colonial Club, Lockhart room, 18–26 Cannon St, Manunda.
