HAVE YOUR SAY ON... PROPOSED LOCAL LAWS
Cassowary Coast Regional Council’s new proposed local laws will replace current local laws for the region and will apply across the whole of the local government area.
Council is undertaking consultation on the proposed local laws for a period of five weeks from 26 May to 1 July at 4:00pm. During this time a copy of the proposed local laws will be available for viewing in person at Council’s Customer Service Centres and on Council’s website www.cassowarycoast.qld.gov.au/locallaws.
Submissions about any aspect of these proposed changes can be made by any person and must be given to Council by no later than 1 July at 4:00pm.
Submissions may be lodged online at: www.cassowarycoast.qld.gov.au/locallaws, in person or via email at enquiries@ccrc.qld.gov. au.
A submission should contain grounds of the submission, and facts and circumstances relied on in support of the grounds.

PUBLIC SHOW HOLIDAY CLOSURES
The Innisfail and District Annual Show Public Holiday will take place on Friday 8 July and Tully and District Annual Show Public Holiday on Friday 22 July.
The Innisfail Customer Service Centre and Library will be closed on Friday 8 July and Tully Customer Service Centre and Tully, Cardwell and Mission Beach Libraries will close on Friday 22 July.
WASTE TRANSFER STATIONS CLOSURES
Innisfail Show - Friday 8 July – Stoters Hill and Bells Creek Waste Transfer Station operational hours will be 9:00am – 4:00pm.
Tully Show – Friday 22 July Tully, Cardwell and Mission Beach Waste Transfer Station operational hours will be 9:00am – 1:00pm.
No changes to operational hours will occur for Murray Upper and Hull Heads over the Show Holidays.
