Sitting around the table with three of Cairns’ long serving real estate agents it’s easy to understand why they have been so successful.

Whilst they may say that genius is 1% inspiration and 99% hard work, it would be fair to say that success for these three agents is as a result of 100% hard work.

At the recent Ray White Queensland Real Estate Awards, two local agents were recognised for their outstanding and loyal service to Cairns and the Ray White brand.

Theresa Plath (30 years), Ray White Cairns South and Paul Stirling (30 years) Ray White Smithfield and Cairns Beaches received their awards during a virtual gala evening.

Theresa was also awarded number four Selling Principal in Queensland for number of Sales and Acknowledgement as an Elite Performer for 2020. Angela Capitanio, Ray White Cairns Central received her 30 year recognition back in 2017 now celebrating over 33 years in the industry and also with the same agency.

In 1996 Angela was the first Ray White Sales Agent to sell more that 100 million dollars in residential property, this was based across the entire Ray White International Group, a massive result for an agent based in Cairns. “When we started, the Ray White offices were all one group, now the brand has grown as well as the market, we have expanded into our own individual agencies specialising and focusing on the varying regions of Cairns”, said Angela Capitanio.

“It’s not about getting the sale at any cost, it’s really about three simple things, and these are what we hold dear. “Our clients (vendors) really care about three things, firstly can we sell their house, can we get the price they require and lastly and most importantly, will we keep them informed throughout the sale listing and settlement process?”

Paul Stirling added an additional hot button that defines their collective approach to real estate marketing. “We take great pride in meeting our owner’s price expectations and in some cases exceeding that price. “When negotiating, we strive to achieve the best outcome at all times for the owner. It’s not about just getting a signature; it’s about getting the best outcome for the owner.

“It’s a great feeling when we get a figure greater than the owner’s expectation, that’s a result of the experience we have developed in this industry.” Over the years, Theresa, Paul and Angela have sold and re-sold the same property multiple times, as owners and buyers have re-engaged their professional services.

“It amazing that I have sold a property to a first home buyer, then 10 years later they move up in the property market and they come calling back, asking me to list and sell the property I sold them a decade ago. “This is not unusual, I have experienced this perhaps a dozen or more times in my career.

People trust us and trust the Ray White brand. You cannot survive in this industry and under the one brand for 30 years if you cannot do the job and also don’t do the right thing by your customers, “said Plath.

The Ray White Real Estate brand has a solid dependable reputation built squarely upon these three outstanding principals.
