So far, 330 households have been affected out of the 378 there are in the community. However, the people of Yarrabah have united to get the outbreak under control.

As a result, the vaccination rates keep rising, with 92.6% of people aged 16 and over single vaccinated, and 82.6% double vaccinated.

The booster rollout has also continued efficiently, with 46.2% of people aged 16 and over receiving the booster shot.

The results are becoming visible as the figures have started to go down; two weeks ago, there were 137 positive cases identified, and last week the number went down to 108.

The community is hopeful that the number of active cases will continue to decrease as vaccination keeps increasing in the following weeks.

The fever clinic is located in Bukki Road, attached to the Yarrabah ED and is currently the only active fever clinic in Yarrabah.
