Over four delicious days, Australia’s leading chefs will showcase the best of the region’s tropical produce across the town, joining forces with local producers and restaurants to dish out a curated culinary program set to excite the palate and tempt food enthusiasts looking for a tasty escape this winter.

The chef lineup will include Jerry Mai (Pho Nom, Bia Hoi Melbourne), Ben Williamson (Anges, sAme sAme, Honto Brisbane), Colin Fassnidge (Kitchen Nightmares Sydney), Spencer Patrick (Harrisons Restaurant Port Douglas) and Manu Feildel (My Kitchen Rules Sydney) and many more.

More than twenty main food and drink focussed events will be spread across the weekend, allowing visitors to feast on a diverse range of cuisines to satisfy any budget.

In addition, a dynamic series of chef take-overs will play out at participating local favourite haunts throughout Port Douglas and an exciting music and entertainment program.

Taste Port Douglas event founder and culinary director Spencer Patrick said the festival was an opportunity to celebrate after COVID.

“The last two years have been tough for the hospitality industry,” Mr Patrick said.

“We’ve been starved of the opportunity to gather, feast and celebrate together.

“This years’ festival will be the fork in the road, with Australia’s hospitality elite coming together once again to create bespoke menus, share knowledge and skills amongst peers and guests and to soak up the festival atmosphere.”

Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort General Manager Steve Molnar said they were proud to be partners of the festival once again.

“We are thrilled to be a partner to the festival again,” Mr Molnar said.

“With the best chefs arriving in Far North Queensland from around Australia, Taste Port Douglas elevates the region’s reputation as a premier culinary destination even further.

“There’s a real sense of excitement in the community as we welcome back interstate and international visitors to Port Douglas and this extraordinary event this year”.

Presented by Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, the festival celebrates the greater Port Douglas community and local businesses across the event to help solidify the region’s reputation as a premier culinary destination.
