The Centre will support allied health service delivery, access to early intervention and diversionary services, and engagement with Indigenous community Groups

The completed project will incorporate various indoor and outdoor meeting rooms, counselling rooms, social function spaces, administration areas, maintenance and parking areas.

The Centre will consolidate community development in one convenient space which has proximity to the Atherton Library, skate park, tennis courts, Scouts, Guides and the emergency services of SES, Fire and Ambulance.

"In addition to being a crucial facilityt for our community. this project will create local construction jobs and help rebuild Queensland," Mr Cuda said.

"This project will  create  local  employment  opportunities  and  boost  our  economy  which  has  been  battered  by  five years  of  Labor  and  now  COVID‐19.”

“Employment  is  the  biggest  issue  for  this  electorate,  and  the  LNP  Government  is  committed  to   supporting   our   community   and   creating   jobs.   The   only   way   to   implement   our   economic  plan  is  to  change  the  government on  31  October.”

Mr   Cuda   said   that   only   an   LNP   Government   will   build   the   infrastructure   we   need   lead  Queenslanders  out of  recession.

“When  Queensland  is  building,  Queensland  is  working.”

The   Atherton   Community   Centre   has   been   developed   over   four   years   in   conjunction   with  Council,     community      organisations      and      the      Southern      Tableland      Traditional      Owners  Association.
