Lnp Commits $200,000 For Atherton Community Centre
LNP Candidate for Hill Nick Cuda today announced an LNP government will invest $200,000 in the construction of the Atherton Community Centre.
The Centre will support allied health service delivery, access to early intervention and diversionary services, and engagement with Indigenous community Groups
The completed project will incorporate various indoor and outdoor meeting rooms, counselling rooms, social function spaces, administration areas, maintenance and parking areas.
The Centre will consolidate community development in one convenient space which has proximity to the Atherton Library, skate park, tennis courts, Scouts, Guides and the emergency services of SES, Fire and Ambulance.
"In addition to being a crucial facilityt for our community. this project will create local construction jobs and help rebuild Queensland," Mr Cuda said.
"This project will create local employment opportunities and boost our economy which has been battered by five years of Labor and now COVID‐19.”
“Employment is the biggest issue for this electorate, and the LNP Government is committed to supporting our community and creating jobs. The only way to implement our economic plan is to change the government on 31 October.”
Mr Cuda said that only an LNP Government will build the infrastructure we need lead Queenslanders out of recession.
“When Queensland is building, Queensland is working.”
The Atherton Community Centre has been developed over four years in conjunction with Council, community organisations and the Southern Tableland Traditional Owners Association.
