Cairns Museum January Holiday Program

Youngsters will have the opportunity to create their own rainforest in a bottle at Cairns Museum next week.

The FNQ Science Workshop includes various science experiments and is open to 5 to 12 years olds. 

Sessions run from 10.30am to 11.30am on Tuesday and Thursday, the cost is $10 for members and $15 for non-members.

With the recently announced extension to school holidays, Cairns Museum has plenty of fun activities on offer for children and families, now running until Saturday February 5th. 

The museum’s all ages Colouring- In Competition, with the chance to win a Cairns Museum Prize Pack, has been extended. Entry forms are available from Reception and winners will be drawn on February 7, 2022. 

Children over 9 years of age will enjoy the museum’s informative, self-guided audio tour, which has been designed especially for children. 

Bring Your Own headphones and smartphone or tablet to join in the fun. No bookings are required and tours can be taken anytime from 10am to 4pm. 

Family friendly museum activity trails are open to all ages and run from Monday to Saturday. Head to reception to choose your adventure. 

These trails are also free with entry with no bookings required.
