Treasure trove of items available now for FREE
One man’s trash is another’s treasure with residents now able to pick up items for free from the Mission Beach Tip Shop.
Conveniently located at the Mission Beach Transfer Station, Cassowary Coast residents are invited to come and pick up a variety of items.
On offer includes objects such as paintings, books, furniture, kitchenware, household items, toys and many other items.
Council is running this promotion to clear site to allow for upgrades work to be undertaken.
Planned works include upgrades and a facility expansion.
The changes to the waste transfer station will focus on improving onsite safety making it easier for users to recycle and dispose of their waste.
Some of these upgrades include:
• One way entry and exit allowing users to safely drive around the transfer station.
• Expansion and upgrade of Buy Back/Tip Shop
• Dedicated zone for recycling waste products such as cardboard, scrap metal, eligible glass and plastic containers, electronic waste, green waste, wet paint and household batteries.
This promotion will run until supplies are exhausted. Mission Beach Transfer Station opening hours are Monday- Friday 9am to 4pm and Saturday-Sunday 9am to 1pm.
Please note that this promotion is only applicable to Mission Beach Transfer Station.
