AFL FANS were Tickled PINK!
I couldn’t let the weekend pass without a visit to Saturday’s Port Douglas Crocs ‘Pink In The Tropics’ Sports Day with a splash of blue.
Held at the fantastic Port Douglas Sports Complex, home of the Crocs AFL team, the event was all about raising funds and awareness for breast and prostate cancer.
In the main club rooms, guests enjoyed pink champagne and a scrumptious feast whilst watching both the Reserves and Seniors matches against the Cairns Saints.
With raffles and a silent auction, further money was raised for the extremely worthy cause. The Seniors Game could have gone either way with just seconds to go. The Crocs were eventual winners with a score-line of 100 – 96. With all this activity, I need a sit down, so for now it’s Gazza signing out.
