Are you ‘All in’ for running?
ARE you ‘All in’ for this year’s third Yalanji RAW Reconciliation Run and Walk later this month?

The free event starts at 7am on Saturday 30 May at the Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre.
This year’s event embraces ‘All in – moving forward together’, encouraging the community to take steps toward understanding, connection and reconciliation.
The run and walk is held during National Reconciliation Week and invites people of all ages and abilities to run or walk together in the spirit of unity and respect.
The day will commence with a fun and energetic warm-up, a ‘bigger and better’ free breakfast and a First Nations dance troupe that will set the scene for Yalanji RAW run.
The high-energy start has become a much-loved part of the morning, with participants gathering early for music, movement and ceremony before the run begins.
Douglas Shire Deputy Mayor Roy Zammataro said the pre-run atmosphere added something special to an event already grounded in reconciliation and community wellbeing.
“A dance instructor getting everyone moving will create such a positive buzz and beat any caffeine hit you’d need first thing in the morning,” he said.
“The warm-up is just as much fun as the run itself, so come along from 7am and make a morning of it.”
There are three running/walking distances of 1km, 2.5km and 5km.
